    Brenda has been practicing yoga since 2005. Initially she was intrigued by the physical practice, but soon realized that yoga is all about the mind and creating equanimity. As Pantanjali’s Sutra 1.2 states: Yoga Citta Vrtti Nirodhah: Yoga is cessation in the fluctuations of the mind.

    She completed her 200 hour certification with Yoga Alliance through Jonny Kest (at Kripalu in MA). She has also been influenced by many others including Bryan Kest, David Williams, Wade Morisette, David Swenson, Steve Ross, Paul Grilley, Rusty Wells and many more. She attends conferences and workshops annually such as the Art of Vinyasa and the Midwest Yoga conference. Her practice is primarily Vinyasa Flow with an Ashtanga influence.

    The abundant benefits that yoga has brought to her life from weight loss to a reduction in stress gave no doubt that she wanted to share this experience with others. With the craziness of every day life, yoga is truly the counter pose to life. As K. Pattabhi Jois said, “Practice, practice, practice and all is coming.”
